Positively CRIMINAL!
The following is a post I made to Sen. Dianne Feinstein's Facebook page."In the basically honorable quest for a safer America, it is highly disconcerting to me that gun bans are the only things that ever get proposed. I believe we should also curtail the bloodcurdling violence in films and video products which, especially in the latter case, desensitize people to the value of human life before they're even 10 years old.
You can blame and demonize (and apparently advocate the mass murder as well) of gun owners for thwarting previous legislative efforts against them. But what about the actual demand for, and popularity of, these weapons --- what Liberals keep calling America's "gun culture"?
Listen friends, that's Hollywood's and game-makers' doing, not the NRA or any other gun group. Maybe there are some things at gun stores or shows that we could do without, I'll give you that. But to blame gun owners for the ongoing glorification of firearms' illegal use and the violent snuffing of human lives in film and other media ---much of it geared specifically to young people , is positively criminal." js
